You can bridge the connection but you will have to use NOI.

you can also use a linksys wrt54g2 v1.0 with dd-wr-goo3 installed on it. you could set it up in Client Bridge mode and this way you don't need to have a computer running. And Client Bridge mode is your wire-less connection.
it runs like a dream. and you can find a linksys wrt54g2 v1.0 used on craigslist in your area for around $15.00

you will also need to do a little reading on the forums.
here's one tip, i would use the wrt54g2 v1.0 for your nfusion hd. for some reason it connects easier with the nfhd

dd-wrt client bridge setup
hXXp://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Bridge
1. step one load Goo3 - dd-wr-goo3.v24_micro_generic to your router (read pdf tutorial for upgrade instructions)
2. step two connect your goo3 router to your primary router via client bridge mode.
3. step three enter your private server info

(didn't you already have a primary router?)
yes restore it with the factory linksys firmware, because it is your primary router. get the factory firmware installed, and then setup your primary router like a normal primary router.
go here, select downloads tab, and then make sure you choose the right Hardware version.

If you already had a primary router before you started this project, that should be your primary router. no need to touch your primary router or adjust any settings in it.
just install goo3 bin on your wrt54g2 v1.0 and then set it up in Client Bridge (mode)

i'm not sure if you can connect 2 dd-wrt routers together.
however this SIMPLE project doesn't need to be complicated.
to keep things SIMPLE... install goo3 on the wrt54g2 v1.0 router, and then set it up in Client Bridge (mode) with your trend-net router as the primary router (don't touch any settings on trend-net router) Connect the wrt54g2 v1.0 to your trend-net router via the Client Bridge (mode) tutorial

They should try it, if the router has AOS then all you do is press a button on the router then on the client box, woks everytime.
It has two NIC outputs so you can run other devices off it, I set one up with a 16 port switch for an upstairs office.

So how hard will it be for me to flash the goo3 file on the wrt54g2 v1 that is all ready running dd-wrt?
do i need to load this file first Vxworkskiller-GS2V1.bin ?
the more i read into it the more im getting stressed about it..
this is what im speaking about
WRT54G2 v1.3 & WRT54GS2 v1.0 Flashing
We now have a CFE available that will run perfectly on the above routers. Problem is, you need jtag to flash it (for now).
[edit] History:
Findings *barryware*
The wrt54g2 v1 has been supported for a while. This device required the flash of a “prep” & “killer” file. From there you could tftp a dd-wrt build. Flashing the prep & killer required only a tftp utility.
Development of a non-jtag port for the G2 V1.3 began in late May. The 1st step, was to develop a CFE that was compatible with the router. This took one of the Dev’s (Eko) a short time to find and modify a CFE for the device.
Now we have a CFE. Now we need to get it on the box without jtag.
[edit] The challenge:
For some reason, Linksys put “security checksums” in the firmware. What happens is when a user wants to flash the router, the file to be flashed must pass the “security check” before the BSP (Stock Linksys Vxworks Bootloader) will allow the flash. If the file does not pass this check, you will see “invalid file”, “invalid code”, or some other obscure error. The checksums could be an attempt to keep 3rd party firmware off the device, or insurance that some knucklehead will not flash the wrong firmware image to the device.
There are a total of six.. That’s right, six security hashes. As of now, not all six have been “cracked”. This is keeping the non-jtag port on the bench.
Why was today a major accomplishment?
The initial CFE used for testing would only allow the flash of a WRH54G micro build. If any other micro build was flashed, it would brick the router.
Today.. We have a CFE that will allow the flash of ANY Micro build. Micro, Micro Plus, Micro + SSH, Generic, etc.. (now , you don’t want the flash a WRH build).
Why Do We Care?
Including the two routers loaned to me by brother members (Streb (wrt54g2 V1.3) & (onegd4u (wrt54gs2 v1)), to work on this project, I had flashed several other G2’s (for free). Even though I put notes in the boxes, stickers on the routers, e-mails and pm’s warning not to flash any other micro build except for a WRH54G… You guessed it.. Members who bricked their routers by flashing generic or plus micro builds will go nameless. I will say that neither donator (loaner) did not deviate from instructions. AFAIK, their routers are still happily running dd-wrt.
Butt Razz … There are now a few bricks.. Nobody wants to see a bricked router (fix’en’em is fun though)
I asked the “King Of CFE’s” if he had time to develop a cfe for this device(s) that would allow the flash of any generic micro build.. He said “NO, I’m Busy”.. JUST KIDDING.. He LITERALLY had a custom built cfe file to me in a few hours.
There was one initial failure. The next attempt was a success. Then a compressed cfe was provided & tested. Perfect…
What I find amazing… The “King” had no device in front of him or on his bench. All the work that was done was by providing information, testing, and supplying data from the testing. 2nd try.. Done..
Who might the “King” be? We could guess or I can tell you. Lets guess for a bit..
Now.. Here is the deal.. Until the security checksums are cracked, you can only flash the cfe via jtag. If anyone does not want to mess with it (jtag), I will flash it for you for free (except return postage.. US only).
Jtag is not difficult (because of the utilities the "King” has given us). I am not being negative but know this.. These little nasty devices (G2 V1.3 & GS2 V1) seem to have a noise problem. There are several post on the forum on the topic. It took me hours if not days to get it figured out to be able to provide “clean” data to the dev’s when this project started.
Before you get started flashing anything, make two backups of your bsp via jtag. Compare them. If they do not compare perfectly, STOP.. Go no further until you can backup your bsp (twice) and have them compare perfectly. If you can’t get a clean backup, you will not get a clean flash. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Code: Tjtagv3 -backup:bsp
A big Thank you to all involved in this project. We are close... BTW.. The G2 v1's are drying up. The 1.3's are still around. The GS2's seem to be what is mostly on the shelves and watch out for the G2 V1.5.. They are not supported.
Another BTW.. I just test.. The actual coding is way above my skill level or pay grade.

no problem, just asking.
since your nfusion is not in the same room as your primary router, we are setting up the goo3 router as a client bridge. once you have client bridge (mode) setup on the goo3 router and can access the internet, our final step is to get our private code and add it into the router.
If you could put the nfusion in the same room as the primary router (trendnet router) it would be easier to setup the goo3 router. Is that an option?

Awesome, I'm glad you got the router flashed with goo3 and setup in client bridge (mode)
you just need a dish 500 or dish 1000, a coax cable going from the dish to your receiver and a P$ donation code.
don't hesitate to ask questions if you need more help.

velocity9421

i don't get bev signal so i don't know anything about bev
if your not comfortable aiming a dish, there are P$ servers that support bev, so with a little reading and asking questions in the right forum. assuming it is pointed at bev, you could use the dish the way it is. you would need the right bin file on your nfusion hd, so you would want to find out what file you have on it now. also i'm not sure tv101 supports bev, so you will definitely want to ask questions to find a reliable bev server. all this is your choice of course.
so i guess you need to figure out what satellites your dish is pointed at and then go from there.

i have installed afew dishs before most with just a signal lnb ...ones with 2 and 3 lnbs is where i get fudged up .
velocity9421
07-29-2013, 09:21 PM
well dual lnbs installation is pretty much the same way to install.
only thing different is, if pointing at 110/119/129 you want to get 110 locked first and then skew the dish (turn it like a steering wheel on a car) a few degrees to lock 119 and 129
there is a dish pointing forum on this site somewhere. i'm really not the person to ask about dish pointing, but i wanted to give you an example of the basics. but so far you should pat yourself on the back, because you did a dd-wrt upgrade and successfully got your goo3 router configured in client bridge (mode) so i'm sure you can do these other steps required to complete your project.
