Well if the channels are converted over mpeg4 has the potential to be as clear as hd as most hd files ypu see around like H.264 are mpeg4 and most are very clear hd quality

My brother brought his over and we cracked it open, the first observation was that the inside looks allot cleaner as far as quality, the caps look good, soldering and the connections look much better then the original DL HD V1. Nice heat-sink really dissipates the heat as out heat gun has shown. There is a open spot for a tuner that looks to be much different then the sk200, we will only be able to see in time what they decide to do with this. Very very very fast channel scans, as well as fast channel changes, my brother reported that some of charlies channels are not named properly or not named at all. He reported no issues with his modem/router combo for connecting. The UI is very similar to the DL HD and same epg as well, much better remote i must say as well, smaller even then the Dl HD V3-V4

Did you, or ur brother, try getting the advertised 7 days of epg or is it the same as the DL HD ?

Dream box is selling for $60, Dreamlink T4 is Selling for $110 and DreamLink T5 HD is being sold for $170.

What is the best SD FTA in the market? Any other suggestions or recommendations other than the DreamLink T4?

Can those of you who have been using DreamLink T4 for a couple months please provide more feedback?

If my budget is around $120 is the DreamLink the best option or are there any better ones out there.

I like my My Dreamlink T4 its a great machine and I made it into a PVR by adding a External HDD BUt you need to know it will hold up to 1 TB HDD. These Boxes are Easy to Hook up and Setup in mins. Like CHEVY85 said holds 10 servers and changing channels fast too. Scans fast.

Now its Really up to you bc its either you going whatch standard TV get a T4 but If you are going to watch HD get a T5..

if your looking for an SD only receiver than the t4 is your best bet, at least it will still work when everything finally transitions to mpeg4 and the pic quality on SD channels with the HDMI upscale is very good for SD, the box runs solid and is almost plug n play to set up unlike the dreambox you mention, now if your looking for an HD receiver than there are a few options and you would have to stretch your budget by about another $50-100

I picked up my DreamLink T4 yesterday. After following the direction from a few posts, I was up and running with-in an hour. However, with the lack of a manual, I spent most of my morning trying to scan the many satellites available. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

you only scan the sats you are pointed at. You dont need a manual for that.
