A friend has a DLHD and a SV360p , 4 leg. lnb's connected to 2 bsaf switches. Has the old problem with one stb on one provider causes other stb to freez.

Switches are placed at least 12 ft apart. system grounded. still freezing.

Now an installer says to him that alliant internet does not like certain connections.. He puts on another stb and connection and system works

does this make sense i'v always thought it was a switch leaking prob.

Tks guys,

No relationship my friend. The sig hog thing has crossed his mind. Another stb the nano prem.se seems to require major band width.
I guess the other box tried required less BW.

Thank you for your input my friend , The farm is behold'n to ya.

Sounds to me that aidejr may have hit the nail on the head.. Most receivers cannot power up 4 lnb's, they max out at 3..I believe the only FTA receiver that had a strong enough power suppy for 4 lnb was the NF HD.. You may need to feed those switches with a power inserter..

My friend agrees and has tested same. This seems to be the old cross leak prob. It just seems strange that by replacing one of the existing stbs and provider that system works. I was thinking that when the return word packet was answering the call that it was confused as to which switch to go to. This cross leak thing has been a problem for years so I have heard,

Thank u all. The farmer is behold'n
