You have to live above NYC to get a useable signal on 82W on the East coast, when they replaced the Nimiq 1 satellite at 82W with Nimiq 4 they moved it's coverage area (it's footprint) much closer to the Canadian US border, this tighter foot print was designed to keep as much satellite TV signals from the Canadian satellites out of the US.
This is done by ICC treaty's between the two country's.
The US satellite TV providers may and will do the same when they get around to putting up new satellites to replace the old ones.
Look here for the footprint on 82W, zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you an idea on the size dish needed and if you can still get 82W at your location.

The above was not a great move by BEV as they lost the business of the SNOWBIRDS who have switched to another Cdn. provider who reaches the far South.

read on web they offer HD and large package deals,if that's not 82 and 91 is it other sats that can be pick up in the far south?just don't know how they offer,if i'm not in footprint.any thoughts?thanks for any help.

maybe i'm wrong,but isn't bev,bell,same as d-r-c- tv?and it's the latter that offers it in my area.

yes they did when they launched nimiq 6
