I dumster dived and got an HD Dish antenna. I don't have it with me but I think it is a Turbo HD dish. The LNBs have been removed. Can I buy a triple yoke adapter from Ebay for it and use three legacy single LNBs with a diseqc switch to get 110, 119, 129 is Fort Myers Florida? It is a large dish and I remember it does say HD on it.
Thanks

I don't see why not, those 3 birds have good coverage in your area.

But why legacy LNB's?

Maybe legacy is the wrong word. I meant the original single LNB. What would you use? I was told that the triple LNB package takes a lot of power.

I was looking at dishes on line and I recognized my dish as a TurboHD dish. Looks like I need a DISH PRO PLUS 1000.4 LNBF to get it going on 110, 119, 129.

yep that will work also get the DP44 in line power inserter you'll need it. Just the power inserter only plugs into port 1 that will give you the power you need.

I wouldn't - you'll be opening the power inserter dpp44 switch can of worms with that lnb . Go with your original idea ; 3 lnb bracket and standard circ pol lnbs.

I read about the available antennas and it is very confusing. There is 1000, 1000.2, 1000.4, eastern arc, western arc.

Do I need to chop or extend the arm on the Ultra HD dish if I use an ebay yoke to hold 3 single LNBs for 110, 119, & 129?

Thanks for your ideas.

The triple LNB yoke from dish will only fit the D1000 line of dishes from dish, if the Ultra HD dish originally had two LNB's on it, then you will have to do some drilling on the LNB mounting arm of the Ultra dish to make the yoke fit.

The only difference between the 4 dishes in the D1000 line is the LNB (or LNB's) used.

Drilling is not a problem. I will get 3 single LNBs that work and a yoke. Then I just have to make it hurricane proof.
Thanks again for the info.

Once you get the yoke, you will see what is needed to mod it and the LNB arm to make it fit.

Compare the two you will see the differences on how they mount.

Can I use a Direc**tv single LNB in a Dish triple yoke? The Direc**tv LNB has a rectangular mounting on it and the Dish triple yoke has a half circle shape opening. It might take more than drilling to get the LNB to fit into the yoke.

Would I be better off using a Dish Pro LNB? I have no experience with setting up Dish Pro and diseqc switches.

I am trying to use single LNBs to get 110, 119, 129 with a Dish Turbo HD dish.

Thanks, sorry to beat this question to death.

Use 3 DP dual LNB's, they will fit the yoke just fine, then a standard Diseqc switch will work to switch between the 3 LNB's/satellites
