I recently pulled out my Nanosat Premium, blew the dust off of it, and hooked it using IKS. everything was perfect with the exception of my internet connection. It acts like there is no ethernet cable plugged in. Is it possible the ethernet port is bad? If it is, can it be repaired? If any has any ideas let me know.

More likely that there is something wrong with your setup/donation and not the hardware.

No I do NOT getan IP in the setup. I have hooked another receiver in the same place and it works fine, but the Nanosat premium cannot find an IP.

I have even tried hooking up a dongle with the same results.

No the router does nothing, there is no change or lights flashing on anything when the ethernet cable is plugged in. That what make me think the port is bad, but I have NEVER heard of that.

have u tried a different cable... also theirs something out their call contact cleaner u spray a little bit into the port to clean out the connectors...u said it was collecting dust....mite be some dust built up in their.....also remove your router and connect it directly to the modem see if that works....i would also re-flash the box with the latest factory file...re-downloaded again sometimes file get corrupted during D\L
