after hours of messing around i finally got my receiver to stop freezing by changing my networking setting to manual instead of auto,no freezing up for 4 hours now

Could be a coincidence. The freezing is generally non existent tonight and I have always set my network to manual and have had bad freezing in the past. It is a good idea to set it to manual and dedicate that ip to the stb in the modem. This way you are sure of no ip conflicts.

Installed sky 1.05 as S/W Update and it fixed the freezing.

I factory default twice before and after every file change.
Just did this with 1.12 and freezing is reduced from this morning. 1.05 still gives me less long freezes but more micro freezes.

Switch your mtu in your router from 1500 to 1400 and that helps to i find

I use file 1.09 to stop the freezing
