Link Box plus scaning problems

in scanning sats 119 & 110 it is only scanning the 4 thousand to 9000s, after putting in v118 file in, don't know what is wrong the same lnb's, also run my lime sat ultra, so their is nothing wrong with the LNB's or the cable I totally shut the lime sat off when testing the Link Box any ideas ? thank you by the way I have put that v118 file in 4 times.

Can you be more specific? Are you saying it only scans channels 4000 up to 9000? So any channels below 4000 aren't scanning in? Just out of curiosity.....How many channels are you grabbing on sat 110 and on sat 119?

im scanning in 12 channels on 119 echo 14
im getting 57 channels on 110 of course their not all with signal as the iks is not piking them up

Iks has nothing to do with what you scan in. You should be scanning about 500 give or take with each 110 and 119, close to a thousand total between the 2. Something might be off in your settings. Can you post what your set up is? Do the sat settings match what you have in the Limesat?

yes my LNB's are legacy frequency 11250, on both receivers are port #1 for 110 xxxx port #2 for 119 using a 4 port chita disq switch, 3 & 4 ports are hooked up to my sub, which I don't use any more, or I haven't for a while, but their there if I need them.
Well I rescanned again this morning, 110 scanned in fairly good, at least I got 100's 200's &300's that I watch, the network setting will not stay shut off, it keeps turning it's self on, I still only got 12 channels scanned in on 119 sat, Im going to talk to the man I bought this unit from & see if he will exchange the receiver for another as I think I got a bad one, their is two many problems! But I do like the way it connects to the server.

If the switch went bad it usually is port #1 that goes out. Since you have 4 ports and don't use the other receiver, put 110 on #2 and 119 on #4 and see what happens. May save yu a trip to the seller. good luck

I know they say you can keep the internet connected to receiver while you scan with the 118. But try taking receiver off the internet and then scan. After that plug internet back on. GOOD LUCK.

I'll try that jasmine, hopefully that works, what they need is a good file, for this Link Box that allows scanning with the receiver hooked up , I have a manhattan receiver hooked up to my Big C Band dish, & when I first got that, it would not save anything, till they came out with a good file, it work's good now but the Link BOX is similar to the manhattan menu except for the Ethernet plug in, THE server is real easy to get working on this unit.

well jasmine I tried to rescan 119 echo 14 total of 12 transponders & nothing works on 119 I've done the scan without & with the internet ,defaulted it & started from scratch, only 2 transponders say ok the rest fail the signal is 93% the quality is87% & not even the transponders that say OK don't work. I tried to get a hold of the dealer & he has not replied back!!!!!!!!

I tried to get a hold of the dealer & he has not replied back!!!!!!!!Did it take a long time to scan 119 in? I would say close to 20-30 min make sure you let the Scan run it,s coarse. Also you might want to check module to make sure they installed it correctly no bent pins. This receiver still needs a lot of work from coders Hang in there my friend maybe someday it will be the receiver that has it all.

as far as I no the LS400 is in correct, maybe I should take it out & put the original back in & see if it works that way but I think I should wait to here from the dealer if I don't I'll consider doing that ! only had trouble with 1 other box & that one had a hub hook up im just lucky I still have my Lime & CNX convert , the only thing is I like this link box.

I was having the same problem and could not get 119 to scan. So go into antenna setup and change lnb Freq to 11250 and that should give you a lock on 119.If your settings are correct you will see 119 is locked on the bottom. Now click on the blue button to scan.Do the same for 110 as that worked for me. The lnb freq is set to dishpro(11250) by default and will give you S and Q but will not scan channels.

Gamer I had contact with my dealer & he sent me a RA, to send it back for replacement but to answer your question 119 was giving me93% signal &87 Quality & all transponders failed except 12 channels & they did not work period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It look slike the LS500 is overheating. It will pick up the signal for a few minutes, then it will loose signal and becomes very hot

I got the new one in and it is doing the same thing. Is there a way to upgrade the heatsink on it?
