Unplug your ethernet from your computer and install your Vonets. Then run the Vonets program.

nansat wifi bridge

Before beginning you must know your wifi network name (ssid)
your encryption type (wep, wpa, wpa2 etc)
your encryption passphrase.

If your using this wifi bridge you should use this software.

http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?119022-Nanosat-wireless-dongle-set-up-file

when you have loaded the software connect the dongle to the computer running the software so you can configure your home network's wifi settings.

Let it do a scan wifi networks, and select your ssid (or home network name) and continue
select your encryption type
input your password and finnish
the light on your bridge should change colour if your connected.

Disconnect the wifi bridge and connect it to your sat box usb must be used for power
reboot the box to initiate a connection
you should be good to go..

Each step must be completed successfully for it to work

if this is a Vonets wifi bridge, this is how i did it, plug the rj45 into in the back of your computer then plug the usb cable into the
computer, the usb is for power & programing, then run the Vonets CD, answer all the questions, when its done you should be able to log on to your net with the computer, if it does you are done, you can now put it in your reciver and it should work.

Are you too far from your router? Is it possible to get closer to your router for your configuration?
Is your router broadcasting a wifi signal?

yes im 2 feet away from the router and it is broadcasting wireless.

Does dhcp have anything to do with it and the router is setup for any wireless like n, G, A, B

Are you able to detect the wifi bridge at all? or are you able to detect the wifi bridge and then preform a network scan and then not detect your router?

When you installed the software it should have prompted you to instal wincap, which is a driver that allows your network adapter to detect connections it would normally ignore. You may need to reboot to start the drivers also.

If your trying this on a windows 7 machine try it on an xp machine if possible. the drivers are more of that era. I'm not saying it wont work on windows 7, I'm just saying it may work better on an xp machine

so the config program does detect your wifi dongle, if it does you should be getting a name and a mac address. Are you getting this?

Glad you got it working, I was going to suggest you do a sfc scan on your windows system to try and repair or replace any missing registry files...
You would have had to open the windows comand console and input the sfc /scannow command...
