that sounds like a heat problem.

that sounds like a heat problem.

Now that I look closely the one I have at mom's house has no red nor green led indicating standby or ON, remote controls looks the same but one works perfect and has SAT LIST button the other one remote at my mom's house its a pain almost need to be standing in front of the receiver to change from channel to channel or up and down volume it has no SAT LIST button instead says ZOOM, I am sure both are clones that is why I use the files mention before, the one in my mom's house works perfect but the remote, the one at my house remote works perfect it has red and green leds but it reboots without warning....................I wonder???????????????
Thanks iq for the hint, I'll mod a desktop fan to work with the receiver to see if the problem stops, Thanks TURBO

i find that on some of these recivers like openbox & jynxbox the reciver needs to be level with the remote or it just dont work well,
now for the reboot problem try to cool the box with a house fan first, or a usb fan, do not put the box on a book or any soft as that
will close off the bottom vents, in fact i have my jynxbox sitting on 4 water bottle caps to give it extra space for cooling.

I use an old 12v pc cpu fan run off the 12v that goes to the back of the receiver.
I unplugged the 12v on the power supply and plugged in the fan.

i've never had a heating problem with my s9 or s10 openbox....but a fan sure can't hurt

there were 3 different versions of the genuine openbox,I believe the 1st had no standby led.
The ethernet was a plugin board. The second had the ethernet on the mainboard. The third had
no 12v running to the back of the receiver.

rule of thumb;if I burn my finger on the processor, time for a fan.
A digital thermometer showed 120+ degrees F (as high as it would go) so it may even be hotter than that.

any surge on the coax line will cause a reboot;like a bad coax connection in a breeze.
