This depends on what type of LNB's you have.

With 4 single DP type LNB's (DP duals) you could use a 4x4 switch.

With 4 single DPP type LNB's (DPP duals) you would need a DP44 switch.

With 2 DP Twin LNB's you would have switching problems to 3 receivers, 2 maybe, 3 would be fun.

With 4 legacy LNB's you would need an 8x4 switch.

This is too tough to do with DPP twin LNB's as they will only work correctly with DPP switches, and will not work that good together, the switching is internal so using a Diseqc switch is also out, trying to combine these types of LNB's is a hair pulling task.

It would be best to replace the 2 DPP twins with 4 DP duals, or 4 standard LNB's (single satellite LNB), then a DPP 44 switch, or a standard 4x4 switch will work fine, 4 LNB's to 3 receivers.

The big problem with using two of the DPP twins is the internal switching, Diseqc #1 is for ether 119 or 91, Diseqc #2 is for 110 or 82, you can't mix the switching, it will confuse the heck out of the receivers and LNB's.

terryl... it is so helpful ...thank you again and now that is clear to me.... those LNB'S aren't so great to work well ...but I was thinking to change it for 2 DP Quad ....what do you think about it... I sew some pics and look work well with diseqs switch...///if you have some ideas please just let me know.

Thanks

That may work, if you can find DP quads anymore, be sure to ground the systems, all grounds running to one ground point.

Don't buy a used one or a refurbished one, get two new ones, there will be less hair pulling that way.

And make sure that they are not the old legacy quads, those used the +13 and +18 volts out to only 2 receivers using 2 SW21's or through an SW44 switch for 4 receivers, but will not work for your setup.

They must be Dish PRO quads.

The way that I have it is 4 Zinwel 3x4 switches and then to deseqcs! That way you get all sats on each receiver!
You need 3 separate feeds! That is 1 to each receiver!

I take it that is with legacy LNB's, not Dish proprietary ones. That's how I've seen that setup work.

He currently has DPP type LNB's, they don't like to work too well with NON dish supplied switches. (sometimes they will, sometimes they wont, thats the problem)

Most DPP LNB's need DPP type switches like the DPP34 or the DPP44 to work right.

And remember the more stuff you add (more and more switches) the greater the system signal loss will be.

I would test the DP quad setup, it looks to have the best chance of doing what you need. (if you can find two new DP quads that is)

I stand corrected.

You also have to be careful on the switch you use, a 4x4 switch (not one from Dsih or Bell) may be labled a 4x4 but in reality it is only switching 2 LNB's to 4 receivers.

Before you buy it, look at it picture, zoom in if you can and look at the satellites LNB inputs on the switch, you will (may) see that they are labled SAT 1 13/18 volt and SAT 2 13/18 volt, this may be 4 inputs but it is for a legacy 13/18 volt switching LNB.

Like the Zinwell 4x4 switch below.
17755

This type of switch will only switch between 2 LNB's.

To do what you want with the old style LNB's or non dish type LNB's (13/18 volt switching), and use only one switch you need one of these hummers.
