if you are talking about Jtag there is no other option, you need to remove the top to get to the Jtag port, and you will need make your on plug for it, and you need a usb uart to ttl converter with wires.

google usb UART to TTL converter, you want the one with wires, it will be usb on 1 end with about 2 ft of wire and nothing on the
other end of the wire.

that is the azbox hd premium +, that member loaded azbox trino and now is in boot loop, i told them not to do it but they did it anyway,
now the only way to recover it is jtag, or send it back to opensat, jtag cable is about 30 usd, the opensat option is about 200 usd.

no it dont, the only option is the jtag port under the top cover, you only need 3 wires, RX,TX, & GND, but you need the usb uart to
ttl converter, with wires, there is no simple fix for boot loop on the azbox hd premium or the premium +.

If that is the case I am sure the fix can be done, or using those 3 connections you mention can be soldered to make a permanent RS232 Port, I did it with my SkyBox S12 and the AZBox Bravissimo.

with most recivers that would work but not with the azbox, i have never seen an rs 232 cable with a TTL converter in it,
and that is a must have for the azbox.
