weird front display problem

i just received my jynx ultra V2 yesterday

it has the jb200 and 237_dual

it's setup and running well, but every few minutes the blue front display channel number either partially disappears or completely disappears (front blue panel goes blank) however this is not affecting my programming

also the blue light turns red randomly and then back to blue

is this problem happening to anyone else?

is this the bin file or hardware issue?

Same here, I'm running 237 on V2 jb200. I thought it was bin issue so I tried a few older bins and I got the same results. I thought it might be the switching of servers since I am running 3 p#. Well, like you posted there are no viewing issues. Kinda strange though.

yep it started doing that with the 237 file, the older files dont have that problem.

i dont remember the file # just try one with a lower # than 237.

I went to 236 and the display still goes black and then reappears. I've had as an example ch. 105 morph briefly to 106 then back to 105 on the display. Usually happens when display goes black and then reappears. It's a haunted machine to be sure. Doesn't interfere with anything, just haunted.

Must be the bin. I also went with 237 and the display lights gave me an old Armulator Disco sensation. I went to 236 and problem solved.

yes mine does al sort of wonderful changes... then always returns to the channel I am on... wierd..

Don't really mind as it does not effect the receiver.

When I get a new unit I start by loading 234, FD,236,FD and then 237, FD. Each bin has something added that will make the box do it's thing. I have 3 servers at the same time including Sky, have no issues with my units as far as front panel. Do have others which I know will be worked on.

I have had the V1 Jynxbox and never had the display problem. I bought the V2 version, and the only file that has been loaded in is it 233 and I am having the front display acting up like described earlier. Personally, I think it is a problem with the Jynxbox V2. I have not opened the box except once. That is when the unit did not recognize the HD module and I reseated the HD module. It recognized the HD module and the unit was closed up. Since it does not seem to cause problems I am not going to try to fix it. There is one more thing with the V2 unit I have seen. When I turn on more than 1 server and the channel does not want to come on, it will not accept remote commands. V1 did not do that either. Wish I had my V1 back. Sorry if I vented in your thread!

Blackdog where would we go about finding 234 for the jynx, I'm finding 233 and then a nice skip to 236 but no 234. Please share a link on that 234, maybe that's the magic we need to overcome the display issue.
