The rules are as follows:

1) There will be a new thread created for each race. Each thread will be created by TPB only, at the soonest possible time. Each thread will also contain the race line-up (deemed by NASCAR qualifing), at the soonest possible time as well. If for some unforseen event that TPB cannot make a new thread, an alternate designated member will make the new thread.

2) You will choose a total of 10 Drivers each week. Each week you will choose (3) Tier 1 drivers, (3) Tier 2 drivers, & (4) Tier 3 drivers.

3) You may pick drivers from any tier in consecutive weeks.

4) Driver Tiers will be rearranged twice during the season per the current NASCAR points. The first rearrangment will take place after the May 12th race at Darlington (during the all star race week). The second rearrangment will take place after the September 8th race at Richmond (just before the race to the chase).

5) In addition to choosing your drivers each week, you must also choose which lap you feel the first caution will happen. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the person who has picked the closest lap (under or over) the first caution flag was thrown.

6) Entries MUST contain BOTH driver number as well as driver name.

7) Please post entries as follows....

Tier 1

14 Tony Stewart
29 Kevin Harvick
88 Dale Earnhardt Jr

Tier 2

43 Aric Almirola
56 Martin Truex Jr.
31 Jeff Burton

Tier 3

83 Landon Cassill
78 Regan Smith
1 Jamie McMurray
15 Clint Bowyer

First Caution Lap
Lap 15

8) Failure to post the drivers in their correct tier will result in automtically receiving points for the lowest finishing driver for that tier. Example...you pick 48 Jimmy Johnson as one of your three Tier 2 driver selections. You will not get the points from 48 Jimmy Johnson as he is a Tier 1 driver, and you most likely already selected three Tier 1 drivers. You will receive the points from the lowest finishing Tier 2 driver in the race.

9) Under no circumstance will any entries be accepted via private message, Email, or any other means other than being posted in the weekly race thread.....NO EXCEPTIONS!

10) Exceptions to rule #9.... If you are unavailable to post your driver picks, private message me, or a member of the staff to open the thread for the race week you will be absent, and you will be allowed to post your own picks. Just remember that you will not have the privilage of picking drivers based on qualifing order, as you most likely will pick before qualifing has taken place.

10) Entries may be deemed inelligable if they do not meet the requirements set forth by these rules in this thread.

11) At the end of each race, you will be alloted the points of your drivers for that week. In an effort to quickly post results after each race, you will not be penalized points if your driver happens to be disciplined by NASCAR and has any points deducted that week.

12) The person with the most total points that week will be crowned the weekly winner. As previously mentioned, in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the person who has picked the closest lap (under or over) the first caution flag was thrown.

13) Perfect 10 addition. Those that pick a perfect 10 during any race will receive an additional 100 bonus points for doing so. Perfect 10 means the best picks of all three tiers, to where the maximum points you could have obtained through all picks. The Perfect 10 will be listed each week with the announcement of each weeks winner.

14) The weekly winner will be announced in the thread for that race, will be posted in a separate thread noting the weekly winners, and have their title changed for the week. See example...

member name - Daytona 500 NASCAR Pool Winner

15) The deadline for entries will be 30 minutes prior to the greenflag. At that time we will close the thread at the deadline and review the entries. After the race results have been posted, the thread will be opened up again for discussion.

16) Discussion is to be respectful and constructive. If we or any other staff member (at our sole discretion) deem a post to be disrespectful or flaming in anyway, the member will be disciplined as such

- First Offence, 100 point deduction in the pool.
- Second offence, member will be banned from this pool for 4 weeks. In addition they may also face discipline from the site itself according to site rules.
- Third and final offence, member will be banned from the site completely.

Any rule modifications may be made by staff if deemed necessary.

We wish you all the best of luck, and look forward to the start of the season.

As with last years pool, we will reset the points for everyone that has participated in the NASCAR pool up to the point of the chase beginning (race 27 of 36). Below is an explanation of what will happen with the points.

• Everyone's points will be reset to zero.

• For every week that you participated in the pool, you will be given 5 points (per week participated) to start the race to the chase.

• For each week that you won the pool, you will also be given an additional 5 points (per win) to start the race to the chase.

• For each week that you picked a perfect 10 in the NASCAR Pool, you will also be given an additional 5 points (per perfect 10) to start the race to the chase.

Examples...

Participant A has 7,000 points after race 26, has won 1 weekly pool here, and has particiapted in all 26 weeks up to that point. Participant A will have their points reset to 0, then get 5 bonus points for winning 1 weekly pool, and will also get 130 bonus points for participating in 26 weekly pools.....for a chase starting point total of 135 points.

Participant B has 6,000 points after race 26, has won 3 weekly pools here, and has particiapated in 22 weeks up to that points. Participant B will have their points reset to 0, then get 15 bonus points for winning 3 weekly pools, and will also get 110 bonus points for participating in 22 weekly pools.....for a chase starting point total of 125 points.

Participant C has 5,000 points after race 26, has won 5 weekly pools here, and has particiapated in 18 weeks up to that points. Participant C will have their points reset to 0, then get 25 bonus points for winning 5 weekly pools, and will also get 90 bonus points for participating in 18 weekly pools.....for a chase starting point total of 115 points.

The key thing to realize here is that if you forget, or are unable to enter each week of the pool during the first 26 weeks, that is does not hurt you that bad, but does help those that do. Also remember that the average points gained by a participant per each race is around 1000 points, so this can even back out in a couple weeks depending on the success of your picks.

As noted in the post above the driver tiers will also be rearranged per owners points at that time too.
