I have been trying for a year to get this receiver to scan 129 in but the best I could do was 7 channels,so today I was playing with it and decided to try Nimik1 out. I am glad I did cause I scanned in 167 channels which I believe are from 129. Is this possible?

Go to dish pointer and put in your location. Then if you scroll down you can pick satellite and program will tell you if you can receive 129 and what size dish you need. This may save you scanning if your setup can't do the job. good luck

I would guess that is has to be something wrong with either your antenna setup for ciel 2 or lnb setup.
It is possible that the tp's match ciel therefore the sat u scan will be the name Nimiq1 . for ciel.

C&P
How to update transponders without using a file VS9000HD
1 - menu-option-turn ON auto transponder
2 - make sure EXt Tuner is on push exit.
3 - EDIT Channels push on right button on remote and highlight garbage can, push F3 button on remote to wipe out all channels push exit and yes to save settings.
4 - Antenna setup - ES 110w exit and save
5 - Choose Channel Scan (not auto scan)
6 - highlight Edit transponder hit ok
7 - highlight transponder #2 push F3 (orange button) to delete transponder
8 - repeat this till all transponders are deleted EXCEPT transponder #1
9 - highlight transponder #1 and push ok to scan, it will fill in all transponders direct from sat (if auto transponder is turned on)
10 - when all done scanning hit exit and yes to save.
11 - repeat these steps to update all sats you have running
12 - now turn OFF auto transponder to reduce freezing
EXit out and watch TV
before i did this i was not even scanning half the HD channels
now i get them all and some SD channels that i never had before also.
these instructions should work on any FTA box button on remote might vary from box to box but long as you leave transponder #1 and delete rest and scan it will populate all transponders for you.

Of course you also have to have a working 8psk card that's turned on in the 9000 menu to scan and see them.

dinosaurus, go to antenna set up for ciel 2, do you have good signal and quality? Should show Ciel 2 129 to the left of the meters.
In order for me to get a quality signal, I had to go down to TP frequency and scroll through them. ( I used TP 12457 ) Exit and save, then do a channel scan as above...the TP you saved in antenna setup should be the first TP in channel scan...delete all others, then scan.
