I'm new to this internet streaming tv stuff and i have been reading alot on the jynx android, however i still don't fully understand the main benefits of the jynx android or apple tv device. maybe it's obvious the advantages and i'm just totally naive.
one of my questions is, how is the video quality when streaming a sporting event or other content via the jynx android?
i read it does 1080P, but when i stream movies or sporting events through my computer via internet (with nvidia hdmi video card) i always get that INTERNET LAG, and the video qualtiy is not as good as regular tv.
Is that the case with the jynx android?

If your internet isn't fast enough to support HD video streaming then, you I guess could wait a bit for it to buffer, or watch non HD tv programming.
Do you have any idea what the speed of your internet is? Also what type of internet do you have? DSL? Cable? Fiberoptic?

i have a twc cable modem for internet
about 20MB down and 2MB up
is that acceptable for the HD stuff?

What about the "Latency" (ping time) ?
Go to speedtest.net, and get a speed test with them, (don't rely on what your ISP says it's giving you) it will tell you the ping timing on your ISP, if too high (over 20 to 40 mS) then you will always have video delay on live programming.
Remeber the higher the resolution (720P, 1080i or 1080P) the more data that has to come down the pipe to you.
Also if your PC, receiver card or internet box is not fast enough, doesn't have enough free ram memory, or your video card doesn't have enough video ram memory, you will/may get excessive buffering.

Upload and download look good, (download is fantastic) but the ping is terrible, can you try it hardwired to the router/modem?

hard wired 20.28MB down 1.99MB up and 26MS ping

Well then there is the problem, the 26mS to 32mS latency will cause a small lag in the video performance during a live program, looks like you may have to live with that.
I'm on a terrestial microwave link to my ISP and I only have an 8 to 10 mS latency, I don't have any problems.
Looks like the problem is at their end.
