in this post, number 6
http://phoenix.satfix.net/showthread.php?126203-thinking-about-purchasing-this-box

i read that the box does s-2 and turbo.
that person has one post only....
i see the tuner combo post but
Would some of you kind folks validate ? And i read it works with (2) S-2 tuners , true also?
nobody really mentions they are using the s-2 tuner (maybe i just missed the post, been scanning for 2 hours now and eyes are going buggy)

I have been looking for a box like this , seems like it may be the one.
I dont see anything on 4:2:2 ?

I am still researching the best places to get one,
seems like the tuners and already installed tuners are near same price.
Does installing your own tuner void the warranty?
thanks

yes the JB200 tuner/module/ will get turbo fec that some of the providers use, as for the DVB-S2 module for true fta testing the
jynx just dont have enought mustard on the dog, for true fta i use the azbox hd premium plus and it will get 4.2.2 feeds but not
turbo fec, so if you are a true tester you need 2 recivers, 1 for watching TV and 1 for testing,JMO.

Not sure what you mean by this, seems to work fine for sats such as 125°w, can you be more specific?

what i am saying is its just not built for true fta, it works fine on providers CHs, but a true fta tester needs more than a jynx can do,JMO.

i have an openbox and microhd for scanning in tps if needed, maybe i can manually enter them in the jynx?

well from the limited observation I've given jinxbox v2 reviews over the last several months it seems at least they actually have someone trying to improve software/code. If turbo/iks goes away at least you could do 2 DVB-S2 modules or a DVB-S2 & ASTC (OTA) module. When you consider cost, (eventual) mpeg4 migration, dual module slots, etc. seems like the best option for now.

Lets say, as an example, you have 2 JB200 tuners installed and possibly a rocket account or something, wont that act like you are trying to use 2 boxes and get your service cut off?
thanks

i dont think it will get you cut off but you will get freezing, i have not tested it but i think i did read that with the dual tunner you had the option to use 2 codes, one for each tunner.

Say you had an S-2 tuner and a jb200 tuner.
will your channel lists show both at the same time, or is there something you need to switch first.
reason i ask is my wife is not soooo good with in depth things. it would be good if she could just see all the channels at once or in the same guide screen and just arrow up or down.
thanks

Just put all needed channels in a favorite group and rename the group as of your liking and you are good to go.

so what would the settings be for use with the dvb-s2 for 125?

nevermind i found out by farting around that its linear so its 10750 and you change the qpsk to turbo(dvb-s2) and then i got signal on one tp on 125w. well back to hunting the sky

Connect 97w lnb to s2 card. No connection loop from jb200 required.

thank you, that means I have to run another cable from the roof all the way to the basement, I just start liking this JHD but now I think it should go back to fleebay
and we have 5" of snow up here, MAN

Without running a cable from your sat dish and lnb how else did you expect to receive the signal? OTA?
You are complaining about 5" of snow? How about 5ft plus? lol

it only takes 5" for me not to go to the roof lol, I was hoping since I already have it on diseq 4X1 on port 4 it will be smart enough with a loop or with out
