Hi Just ordered my ultra hd. Have read posts about low power output from jb200 and some failing. I have old receivers that I could use to power lnbs and turn off jb300 lnb power, I have read this is an option. I have 3 stardard lnbs (2 connection), could someone please let me know how to wire this type of setup. Do I power the lnbs directly or do I need a switch or just power the diseq. Thanks.

If you are using 3 standard 11250 frq lnb's then all you need is a 4 in one out multi switch. It does not need to be powered.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you agree with powering the lnbs with another receiver and not using the jb200 power.
To clarify your mean just connect old receiver to unused (in) diseq port.

if you are not useing a dish pro or a pro plus lnb you dont need any extra power, the jynx will power it up.

Hi I asked the question earlier about alternate receiver power but did understand how to actually connect it up.
I have 3 standard 11250 two connection lnbs and 4 way diseq switch. I want to turn off jb200 power and use second sat box to supply lnb power to the setup. Where do I connect the second receiver RJ-6 cable in this setup.
and will it work. Thanks.

I moved your post in with your original thread. No need to have multiple threads on the same topic.
As I said in post 2 you do not need a second power source with those type of lnbs. If anything you will do more harm than good and the possibility of causing harm to your receiver increases ten fold.
Simply run your cable from the lnb to the port on the switch then from the switch to the lnb in on the JB200.
Here is a example using a 4 in 1 out multi switch:
lnb 119 to lnb1 on switch
lnb 110 to lnb 2 on switch
lnb 91 to lnb 3 on switch
lnb82 to lnb 4 on switch
lnb out on switch to your in on the JB200.
Then once you have the 237 file loaded in and you factory default you go into your menu and set up your sats based on the way you have your cable config to your switch.

I am currently running the wiring as you outlined. The reason I am asking is that the jb200 power seems weak and runs hot. The best quality I can get on any lnb even direct wired is about 73% with wide open sky on any sat. I get 90% plus with any other receiver same wiring, dish and lnbs. I have read in other posts that the jb200 power is weak and some have failed.

you need the same settings with an extra 4x1 going to the other receiver as if you setup a second TV, ALL LNB'S have 2 outputs so just repeat the process and you are good to go, I will get my JHD today or tomorrow will post what I find

I tried that configuration with no difference in signal strength. Also with 2.37 bin when lnb power is set to off it continues to stay powered.
I looked through my stuff and came across a dish sw44. Can I use a receiver to supply power to take the place of the power inserter. I dont have the power inserter supply.

hummm, if that is not working try a power inserter, did not get mine today maybe tomorrow, I read it doesn't like sw44 but test it and let us know
