just curious have other people been experiencing lots of intermittent down times and connection to the server dropping for no discernable reason??
sometimes a server connection can be re-established by changing channels or a soft boot
is it just me or are other expericing this as well
Your not alone. What rcvr are you using?

been wondering the same thing. Was watching a hockey game, was fine for first while then boom. No connection then would connect for about 5 second's then same routine all over again. Turn to history channel and not a freeze, turn back to game and no connection. Missed last 2 periods, horrific freezing.
Both you & nuttybuddy420 have summed up somewhat exactly my issues with same equipment & provider. Also after last week's changes, I have no locals. Anyone else???????

just checked and my new york locals are missing in action too
Ya know, I guess it's just hard for me to just shut the F**k up regarding the locals. But, I have a whole bunch of other channels that I can watch that I normally don't care about when the locals are up so........... There..........

what are you referring to????? I dont recall anyone telling you to shut up about the locals, I was simply ansering your quuestion that my new york locals are missing as well
No, No, NO, Didn't mean anything anything bad towards you at all. Just saying, I've made other posts regarding "locals" that have
been mostly ignored until your response. Just wondering if the NFPS folks are aware or if they plan on just letting them drop. My
receiver is in the garage where I tinker with my Hot Rod (72 Nova) so, watching the local news/weather in fickle Northern Indiana
can be beneficial.
Didn't mean to raise the blood pressure.LOL

just curious what do you mean by locals??? the networks from new york or L.A.????? depending on what spot beam you are in??
By "locals" , I am talking the : ABC-CBS-NBC-FOX- PBS-WB stations which we get from South Bend Indiana. I have almost always
received them from the day one that I started this "HOBBY"' BTW I can get some NY/California CBS affiliates.

what channels are they for you?? are you in the central spotbeam?? I am just 100 miles north east of Detroit and I am on the eastern spotbeam although I must admit I have never tried to receive the central locals
but at any rate the eastern locals are down for me too this morning

The South Bend locals that you were receiving were most likely the ones that were running in the clear "no encryption" on sat 119/Tp 12282 since May of 2010.Unfortunately these channels were removed from the stream last week.
