View Full Version : 1 coaxial cable needs to split for 2 receiver

Hello all. I have 2 dishes 1 for dn & 1 for bev.coming into my house
via 1 cable, needs to feed 2 receivers 1 for dn other for bev tried
different splitters but always bev receiver said ''weak signal''
What to get??

U will have to run a separate cable from each LNB and add another switch so u have a separate cable for the second receiver.. ..
The splitters will not work because when a channel is selected it automatically chooses horizontal or vertical polarization..
The 'master' receiver chooses which one is selected.... and the second receiver will not work..
Also if u are using provider equipment(receiver/switch).. an FTA receiver will not work(well) with the switch provided by them..

Thank you. Finally changed my mindset and worked on the SOFTware aspect
of the problem instead of the HARDware,entered the info of 1 receiver (dn)
into the other one and ...VOILA!! Sometimes we just get stuck into one way
of looking at things...
