Audio question

Hi guys i have a question about digital audio its not working for me my audio settings are on Auto but no sound before it was working on same settings any one can put some light on this issue plzzz .

Also are you using a home type theater connection or just the tv audio?

Hi guys , I have a sound bar with optical input I use the same setting what I was use before . Under settings then AV settings digital audio out I keep on auto and it was working fine but since I loaded the new file 2.36 and then 2.37 I can get the optical audio all other ports are working fine.

I am on file 2.37 I double checked all my setting but will check again after work today .

My optical port does not work w/ my home theater setup also, had to revert to using rca cable also, using 2.37. will upgrade when I receive my dvb-s2 module and see if other bins will work on optical output. I much prefer using optical, sound is better quality.

The optical cable is good when I play my Nano Premium. However, there is audio output from the composite and HDMI connections on the Jinxbox. Is it a problem with the file or the receiver? Help, please.

did you try the volum + on the jynx remote, after a firmware update the volum will go all the way up or down.

To my understanding 2.36 and 2.37 were released to correct the motor function, unless you need the motor function I would revert back to 2.33, especially since you said it was working before the last file. Also note each time you load a file and do a factory reset, you need to change all your settings and save. There was one file and I do not remember the number required you to abandon all saved setting files and create new ones.

The SPDIF port has never worked since I got the Jinxbox. The one who said it was working before the last fire is another member, Rizz, who started this thread. Anyhway, I'll try the file 2.33 and see how it goes. Thanks.

I did try file 2.33 but it didn't solve the problem. So I personally returned my Jinxbox Ultra HD V2 w/h JB200 module to the dealer and got another one, but it's the same problem: No audio signal from the SPDIF port and the Closed Caption doesn't work at all. A HD STB without digital audio, what a shame! Hope a new bin can fix it. Some people at other sites say that the Ultra V1 doesn't have these problems.

I read at another site that the V2 does not work with the SPDIF port. I cannot either confirm or deny this but what I have done is to use the SPDIF out on my TV. This eliminates an echo when I used to forget to cut the volume down on the TV. Now either way no echo. I know not all TV's have a SPDIF out but my Sony does. Check and see if your TV does, with luck it does! Wish you Luck!!

Yes, my TV also has a SPDIF out. However, if there is no digital audio signal coming from the SPDIF port of V2 how could you have digital audio out from the SPDIF of your TV ? The HDMI and composite outputs of V2 won't transmit digital audio to your TV. With thanks.

It does support DD 5.1 according to their specifications. When I watched a HD channel with DD 5.1 the display did show 'Dolby Digital- English' when I pressed the Audio button and hit Select, but there's no audio coming out at all.

May I ask where did you get your Jinxbox? Did you load the Factory File before you loaded the file 2.33?
