View Full Version : I lose sat 110 when I scan for sat 119. Very strange. Any ideas????

I have a Nano2 converted to an Ilink. I have been in the sat and NFPS arena for years so I know what I'm doing but this really baffles me.
I recently did a factory default and then a satellite rescan on sat 110 . Scans no problem, finds all the channels no problem. When I then scan sat 119, every 110 channel I go to says "No Signal" message. I checked by setting the SAT button for sat 110 only and none of the 110 work. I go back to 119 and they all work great.
I did the same thing in reverse by first scanning 119 and then 110, and then I lose all my 119 channels which then read "No Signal". Bottom line is my recvr won't accept more than one sat at a time. I know it's not the disq switch cause I have tried doing this on 3 different locations with three different switches with the same results each time.
I have turned my converted Nano2 back to original Nano2 and then back to Ilink with all the right files, factory defaulting between each step.
As said, I have been in this game for a long time (and converted many rcvrs) but I've never run across this.
Anyone out there have any ideas??????

Are you making sure that you are saving your settings for 110 before moving on to 119 ?

Of course I'm saving my settings. Like I said, I've done dozens of these things but I have never run across this predicament.

Try replacing the 119 LNB as it is probably the cause!

Try taking out your d SW and connect directly to your 119 LNB, scan the sat, then exit out of menu's and get the stb to save ch., that way, then go to epg and check to make sure all ch., are there, then go back and connect directly to the 110 and do the same, if it saves your ch., then put SW back in.

Guys it's definately not the switch, as my post reads, I tried doing this in 3 different locations, always with the same results.
As far as the channel scan and saving the channels, it does that perfectly. As indicated in my original post, is tried 110 first (works great) scan 119 then 110 stops working and vise versa.
I even tried returning my converted Nano2 from Ilink back to Nano2, installing the last factory bin 8.10, then converting back to Ilink and rescanning. Still the same results.
I just don't understand it. I spent 8 hrs yesterday trying different things with always the same end result.
Thanx for you ideas anyways, always greatly appreciated.
Anyone have any further ideas on my dilemma?

Let's try and tackle your problem this way, post what type of dish you are using, and your antenna settings for both sat's, and the type of switch you are using.

I'm also having the same issues with the 110W....fluxuating signals. Channel 119 (110W, TP 12282) ..I'm getting a PBS channel instead.(WFWA) Something's certainly wrong with Nano, I Link & NextFTA receivers.
