I just found that there is a file that I can use, but I need a loader file and it is not in the file section, how can I get this loader? Thank you.

I merged your two threads together. I thought that loader was already there but I guess I was wrong. Anyway it is there now or in the link below. Remember to use the 8.10 LDR file with the loader and not the 8.10 NPN file.

Thank you abouttosnap, I download both and when I tried to open the file I can't, the file is NPN_8.10_Factory.LDR.zip, but when I get to firmware upgrade and select,I got the message No items match your search, but the file is there. Another thing in file of type I got Upb file (*upb), maybe I am doing something wrong, I tried several times and nothing.

See if this helps. Once you select firmware upgrade and select type an * in the file name field. Then click open and that should let you select the file. Then highlight the file and select open again. That should get you to where you can select upgrade and load the file. Examples below. Hope this helps.

No! It won't accept the file by usb, I have just found out recently with the Nano 2 it won't accept the file by the loader either, it kept coming up software interrupt! Now I can't do anything with it, display is stuck with c 108 on it. Just a heads up for you guy's!!

I finally downloaded the file but it looks like my box is dead. First I got a C o.98 and the nothing, that's the reason I tried this file but it does not work. Thanks for your help abbouttosnap.

One other option you could try but it still may not help. There is a hidden bias if memory serves me right that you can go into and do a reset. To access it you have to hold down one of the buttons on the front of the receiver while flipping the back switch on. Just can't remember which one. Seems like it was the channel up or down button. Like I said it may not help either but it could be worth a shot. Sorry the other didn't work out. If I run across anything else that may help you get it going I'll try and post.

Are you sure it is 180 and not 108? There might be another way for you to fix it, open up the receiver, and where the ribbon connects to the main board, from the front panel, directly in front of it between 2 capacitors, you will see 2 pins side by side, plug in your receiver, and power it up, take a screw driver, and cross the pins, do a quick connection, but do not hold it there, then reboot your rec.

You are very welcome. Sorry nothing has brought it back so far. If you feel comfortable opening it up I guess it would be worth a try. I've read that it has worked for some but not all. Just remember not to hold the screw driver on the pins for too long. I checked a cd of mine that I have old files on to see if the recovery loader for the first nano was any different from the one for the nano2 but they were the same version. If you decide to give it a go I hope it works for ya and good luck.

Today I will try to open my box, but the files you mention where can I find them? Are they different from the one that I tried before? Thank you.

Cnx came out with the nano and nano2 and both had a recovery loader but I checked and they were both the same version so I doubt that would help any. All though the loader for the nanosat premium did except the LDR file for the nano2 but I can't say if it would load properly or cause more problems. Just thought I would throw it out there as another option. It would be up to you on the risk.

There were three older versions of the LDR file that came out for the nano2. There was the 8.05, 8.06 and the 8.08. Not sure if they would load or fix the problem either but it is another option.

Have you tried a force flash with one of the LDR files , abouttosnap said are recovery files for this box?

Just incase someone runs into this same problem and wants to give some of the older recovery files a go they can be found here:

http://phoenix.satfix.net/showthread.php?123886-Older-Recovery-Files-plus-Utility

If one of the older files were to load properly and recovery the stb then it should be possible to load the the 8.10 NPN via usb after words. May or may not work but here they are never the less.
