hi all, im relatively new to the forum. I haven't read about fta or my played with my VS 9000HD since probbably 2009 atleast or earlier. I recently moved and seen it laying at my parents and decided to take it with me. I've done some reading here and there and have come to realize that I can fire this thing up again be it a little differently than before.

What I need: So i have the vs 9000HD unit itself (i have the 8psk mod already installed), I am acquiring a XFTA dongle this week from a kijiji add here locally, as well im picking up a dish 1000.2 unit (100$ brand new - these heads have a built in switch ive been told?) so i can grab all three Dis* NE$worK sattelites. As well I plan on registering with rocket as well for XXX for a year I think that is?

Is this all worth it in the end? is it stable? I just don't want to get it all up and running to find that half the channels don't come in or something like that. I post this because I haven't seen any recent post of how its been working so I'm curious and will ask this question before I obtain and spend the money on the dongle and dish.

the newest bins are located on this site as well from what I see?

thanks for any help or replies its much appreciated...

You need to load the 110802H file for your 9000, please donot mention prices of P$ on open forums it is against site rules. Rocket is OK but there are better P$ out there do some reading on them then pm one of them for prices good luck

sorry about that and thanks for the reply.

My parents have a reciever in which I don't know what type it is. Running D*sh... anyways I know there is a card in it that goes to a xfta router sort of thing that communicates with our home internet. My question.... would that be also a iks server that it is connected too? or something else? They are hooked up through a guy locally in town and I was wondering if I could use the same settings or get in touch with him and do the iks (if thats what it is) through him....

thanks again all.. been really helpful
