hey guys, probably a stupid question but im gonna ask anyway....
cable man shut off my cable so now i have no cable in any of my rooms i only have my nfusion solaris with 1 code hooked up in my living room and is running fine...i thought well i will just loop out of that stb to another nfusion solaris i have in my bedroom and it worked fine in my bedroom but the 1 in my living room stopped working...
now i am guessing that because i only have 1 code that is why only 1 stb works, am i right?

If you are using the loop out, then the second stb should work as long as you are on the same tp or channel as the first box. The only reason you would get a second code is if you had another run from the dish to the second box.

so providing that both stb's are on the same channel then both should work? thats strange because i thought that also but it actually didnt work?

there are some resellers here.. check nokia or marcella, shoot a private message to either of them.
good luck

I don't think whoknows is correct. If you are running 2 receivers you need 2 codes.Doesn't matter how they are getting the signal, both are still requesting code words.

alright so i am gonna go with buying a new code and i found a source for that but now i have a new question and hoping ppl can shed some light for me....
where i am running the N.O.I program on my computer i know where to put the first initial code which is very simple but i plan on hooking up 2 more nfusin solaris stb's....where do i put in the additional codes in the NOI program? i see under the advanced settings tab that i can edit the servers and add codes in there but what confuses me a bit is that there is south birds and north birds how ever i do see that there is only 4 servers there that can be edited...now my question is if i enter/edit the server 1 under the south bird is that gonna auto populate in server 1 under the north bird or vice verca ?

I have try using the loop out before and it never worked properly, alway's you could get 1 channel at one time and the minute the other stb has changed channels, I would lose the chan. I was watching, the only thing I could figure is when both stb's were on the same TP, you could get any chan. but when you were on seperate TP's then you could. Alway's better to run both stb's seperate than together.

Gwrowe is right:

It is better to run the second receiver on it's own coax from the switch or LNB, this way your not stuck on what ever the first receiver was watching.

And Riverman is right:

For 2 receivers you need 2 codes, and a connection to your router for both.

One other thing, you can't use the coax left over from the CATV company, it wont handle the signals from the LNB,(unless your using the old style legacy LNB's) the coax has to be rated to 2.5 GHz or higher to work with standard, DP or DPP LNB's, this should be marked on the coax, normal CATV coax only goes to 950 MHz.
