VS ULTRA is dead

Friends,

I owned VS ultra almost for 4 years now , there has been never a problem with it.
My VS has been good and running with the x-fta setup , suddenly my vs died yesterday. I did hard reboot, try to load the clean up file, try to load the factory file, still it is not rebooting.

Is anybody can help me to bring back my VS alive.

please give more info like does the display do any thing at all, does the receiver try to load files. could be lots of things from bad power supply to bad software, hard to determine whats going on with out knowing what it is or is not doing.

i have the same problem..it takes 3-5 minutes to see something on display.and when i do ---- i get this for 2 seconds.and then 8.8.8.8 flash in.then after 1 minute the stop..i try everything except from one receiver to another.i use loader 2..i even try to change the program and use it from usb..nothing happens ...wont do anything.just seats there .i think is fry
its vs ultra v2 real ...any help ???

I tried to load the following files thru Loader 2.exe but it failed to load.
PFTAUSW-Cleaner-U.PGM, mainpg.pgm, VIEWSAT_ULTRA_V0143.PGM
Is there any way I can bring up the VS alive. Help me! Friends!

Make sure you are using a null cable.
With vs hooked up to pc and rear switch turned off.
Bring loader up on pc
locate threw loader.
Once file is in loader ..click on send
Than turn on vs with back switch.
Now you should see progress in loader.
Wait for it to finish and vs should reboot.
Do not disturb it until it reboots .
If file is finished and it did not reboot ...but make sure..at this piont you can turn rear switch off..wait a second..than turn on.
Now check and turn on with remote.
If still no good and file did load..
Try the cleaner file about 3x

I tried with the null cable and loader. Also I tried thru USB. Nothing worked. I do not see anything on the LED display.what went wrong? any more clue or help...please.

1. does the receiver try to load the bin from the serial load. 2. you may have a clone and if so you will need the clone repair kit. the easiest way to know is to open receiver and if you see 2 jumpers near serial connector its a clone.

mine is not a clone..
wont load anything ..both ways ..even one vs to another

look for bulging capacitors on the power supply board ,my Max quit working a couple weeks ago and i had a bad cap. if it is one of the caps make sure you put the new one in the right order negative to negative, positive to positive good luck
