no TV on iLink (converted CNX box)

Hello all - 1st timer ... I had my CNX box converted 2 yrs ago by someone who has left town. TV down 3 days now. Can someone tell me where to start looking for any sort of tutorial on how to find out what exactly I was converted to and maybe what I need to do get back up and running. I on/have pvt server.

Goto menu,network,net application and have dream set at top then input new server info exit out and watch tv also some button have moved 2 buttons down....ie red button is now rewind button on remote

Thanks for the quick response and info... it only lasts a short while (~ 1 hr) then dies again. I've checked the ip and it's good. The port is 10500 which I hope is right.
