Dreamlink HD Sat Recognition

I've been having issues with my dreamlink hd receiver for a couple of days now. I turned it on and all I get on the screen is bad or no signal. Countless reboots and factory defaults haven't helped as they used to in the past when this situation has arisen. I transferred the latest file and I have removed the module several times but still no sat recognition. I know it isn't an issue with my coax or equipment as I have hooked up my nanosat and cnx to ilink without any issues and great signal strength. Before I actually throw the receiver against the wall, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well i guess you could start from scratch and load a factory file then the latest bin and see if that works brother.

There are 2 factory files which one did you load prior to loading the latest bin ?

I loaded the 100 factory file, maybe I should try the 105 factory?

Just a thought i'm wondering if your factory file has become corrurpt ? Maybe you should delete your ver and download it again.

I just dowloaded the factory bin you posted today and sats at 110, 119 and 129 don't even show up on the sat list. I'm going to try factory 105 with bin 114 and see what happens if anything.

Costa download a fresh copy of 105 and 114.. Delete all the old versions you may have on the drive and usb prior to the download..
Install 105, factory default. Install 114, factory default .. Maybe that would bring it back..:D

My buddy had a very strange and similar thing.. Bought a DLHD (upgrade from Nano2) and figured time to replace Cheita Disecq switch. Hooked up DL to old switch and scanned in 110 &119. Got new dish aligned to 72, (can't get 129) and hooked to OLD switch scanned 72 and sorted all that out and watched tv.
NEW switches showed up a week later, unplugged unit and installed new switch with same port assignments. Plug unit in and watch tv, BUT now when changing from a 110 channel to a 72 channel gets 'Weak or Bad Signal' unless he went to a second 72 channel and back to the first 72 channel.??? Changed to second NEW switch and now 119 to 72 gives the same report. Went to OLD switch and works OK.. Go figure

Thanks bud but that's the last thing I did and I always delete files on my usb before attempting other file transfers. I have tried the receiver on 2 different switches where all my other receivers are working fine- just about to throw the towel in.

So you are getting no signal or Q or its not seeing certain sats..??

Signal bars are red and about 20% on all sats. It has done this to me before but a few reboots and all is back but not this time. This used to happen on my ls max as well until one day I got fed up with it. The dreamlink has been awesome now for over a year, I don't know what got into it.

MAke sure the module is working corectly.. Take it out qnd put in the sd block that came with the unit and see if you get the sd's.. Also check if its well seated..If it works on SD then its a defective module..

I've done that several times- worked for over a year without any issues. I'd have to find the sd module, not quite sure where I put it.

the earlier ones did not come with a sd module Did you even get one?

I agree a flaky board,but if you have a factory board that will get you sd viewing !

I found the little white box which came with the receiver but all I found in it were 2 heat sink thingys, I don't think it ever came with a regular board. I did try it without the module but it was the same. Anybody know where I can get a new module? Once you go hd, it's hard to go back.

I am having the same issues as my module is giving me the no signal.I saw a few for sale on ebay.

Do either of you have friends with the same box if so try your boards on another box b4 buying a new one.

I heard elsewhere of somebody having the same issue but all was good after flashing the 110 file, I've got nothing to lose.

Mine was working fine till it heats up then loses signal. Placed 2 case fans on it and it was working great. Now it seems to have quit as I get signal for a minute and then drops out.I going to give it a try and reload factory and 110.I will report later.

Well guys to my surprise my rec. is working again.I have no usb drive at the moment so I used the loader and put factory 105 and 110 and have had it on since I last posted. I have the fans on it to keep it cool of course.So give it a try Costa. I will let you know if it fails again.

It just died again. At least it worked for 6 hours.Now it leaves me wondering if its the board or the rec. that is bad.

Just reading your problem and i have had mine for about 6 or 7 weeks with no problems till this past week where twice while changing channels it went to no signal and had to do a hard reboot to get it back. If this has just started recently for us i wonder if it isn't some sort of attack on these hd boards.

Just flashed the 110 file and no luck at all, I think I'll play around with the module and hope for the best. The one thing I don't understand is that this receiver basically gave me awesome performance for over a year with only slight issues which a reboot always solved, why now?

I was checking out the module on leesats page and there is a picture of the ls400 module that has a watermark that says Allstar- liquidator. This is a seller on ebay and prices are lower. I wonder if they are the same ppl?

Hope this solves your issue bud but from the sounds of it that's what it is.

I agree it is probably the module, try opening up the receiver and reseat it then try putting a fan on it (eg a big floor fan). See if that fixes your problems temporarily, to ID the problem.

Check your coax wire connectors, inside AND OUTSIDE ON THE DISH DONT BE LAZY, just make sure the power is off on the receiver before you touch the wires. Most people are too lazy to do all this, so good luck anyways, lol.

I have tried reinserting the module no less then 10 times, all of my other receivers(approx. 6 of them) have no issues with my feed coming in.
