The biggest possibility your receiver is down is the computer you have NOI on has changed ip address, that is if it is set to DHCP. If static, the the second possibility I would have suggested. Reboot your modem, routher, and receiver. Also close out the NOI settings and restart. Hope this gives you some ideas as to what to check when you are down for an extended period. Usually the servers do not have to worry about ecm's on their end except on Thursdays. When this happens, it is also good to go through the reboot sequence but - - not immediately, give them a few hours first.
