dish 500 dppro lnb power

Does the regular dish 500 dppro lnb need to be powered by an ird or external power, or will a fta box power the lnbs ?

Any FTA receiver will power the DPP twin (two satellites) or DPP single LNB (one satellite).

The problem may arise when you add the optional 3rd sat on the lnb input port from an additional dp lnb mounted on an addition dish.
Then you are trying to power 3 sats, which many fta receivers can do, some have problems.
