Bryce Salvador's tip-in at 9:05 of the second period proved to be the winner and the New Jersey Devils forced a Game 6 with the Los Angeles Kings with a 2-1 victory on Saturday night in the Stanley Cup final.
The Devils, down 3-2 in the series, will travel to Los Angeles for the sixth game Monday (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 8 p.m. ET). L.A. cruised to victories in the first three contests, but New Jersey has fought back since with consecutive wins.
Devils captain Zach Parise opened the scoring on a power play at 12:45 of the first period before Kings forward Justin Williams responded to tie it up early in the second.

Martin Brodeur stopped 25 shots in the win while Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick made 17 saves.
