And still can't not make to work.
I try so many ways, like client, repeater and still nothing, seems like everything is good but to the final I can't no get the IP always is 0.0.0.0.
I'm using windows 7 and nothing and try windows XP and nothing any inputs I can't get??
Thanks in advance!!
I have a Bi quad antenna that I want to use with the router!!

make note of what you're repeating
if for example the router is 192.168.1.1 then you use 192.168.1.2

A client bridge might be easier to configure than a repeater, this way you don't have to create a virtual interface on the host router.
Here's a video that explains the configuration of both a client bridge and a repeater.

If you changed the IP of the router you will need to use the new IP to log into the router.
What IP did you assign your router?

192.168.1.2
and the gateway
192.168.1.1
But the funny think is if i live my IP on my laptop DCHP and no static I have acces to the router with no problem.
I did what the video show and all seem like is ok the only thinks is
I receiving 100%
I transmitting 0%
Also I try with the info of Dish doctor at ,my first post using the IP 10.0.0.1
And with this I have
Reciving 100%
Transmitting 100%
But no IP and dont have acces to the web>

wait, Router IP and gateway are the same?

Matter of fact my fist router I still have was not called a Router. It was called a Residential gateway and it even says it on.

Its a old D LINK its over 10 years old

However DD-WRT on linksis wrt54g V6 is very easy.

thats what I have on my router. I bought it pre installed on it from ebay... It was the same price anyways.

Also have you tried tomato?

Some people I know love tomato.

Also try to login to your router 192.168.1.1 and if it works... then you didnt change it....

did you try to change the router IP to set up a xfta dongle?

So you changed the router IP to 192.168.1.2 ? and gave it an IP of 192.168.1.1?

That would work fine if the hotspot your connecting to has an tip of 192.168.1.1 if it doesn't it will not work..

The reason your not able to connect staticly is because 192.168.1.2 is now the gateway and the IP you would make for the pc would have to be something like 192.168.1.3 or something.... anyway...

Your going to have to get the IP of the hotspot that your trying to connect to because this will be the gateway of your repeater/client bridge...
If you don't have this information it can be acquired by temporarily connecting to the hotspot. When you have established a connection to your hotspot go into the run menu and type cmd
This will take you into the command console or the dos screen..
Once your there type ipconfig.
The gateway that you get will be the gate way that you need to use on your ddwrt router.

hypothetically... if you find the gatway is 192.168.2.1 then you will configure your router like this
IP--- 192.168.2.2
subnet---255.255.255.0
Gateway---192.168.2.1

Then to log into your router you would use 192.168.2.2

That was just an example if your not sure what I mean post back once you get the gateway.

that's about as good of a example as I have seen.

very good

I agree with dslchome (http://www.satfix.net/member.php?27105-dslchome); easy followed description homer71.

I have also seen situation where you can connect but cannot access the internet. The reason being is that they will have security/authorization opened but may be using MAC filtering (a list they create that will ONLY allow those on the list to achieve internet connection).

Not sure what sniffer program you are using but I would try to connect to any open gateway, just to get it to work properly, then go for the hotspot you wish.
