SG 2100 hh motor
B*V satellite dish
CNX mini w dongle
B*V sub receiver

Have been up and running for awhile now and decided to add a motor in order to get 110 & 119. The dish is currently mounted to the motor and is pointed at Nimiq 91. The problem is that when I run from the receiver to the motor then to the lnb I don't get any signal, but the motor led is green and it's a simple setup. If I bypass the motor straight to the lnb then I get 100% signal Nimiq 91 on the B*V sub box and 95% on the cnx mini. So I'm not getting a signal through the motor but am getting a signal when I bypass it. I've been troubleshooting for sometime with this and can't seem to figure it out. The wires are good, connections are good, the cnx can drive the motor east and west no problem, just can't get a signal back from the motor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The way I have mine is......receiver to motor then to Switch receiver port then all sat's that are to lin. LNB to port # 1 then all sat's that are cir to port #2 ...you then have all sat's in the arc .....lol

remember you must select which port is to be used for each sat ...(in the sw selection set-up) I also use the Qph-031 LNb that has connections for Lin. and cir. sat's ......

So you have 1 lnb and are not using a switch... The from receiver/to lnb are connected correctly ? Does the motor drive the dish when you select a satellite?

You might try resetting the motor while in the 0 position ) pin hole on motor)

Yes I kept it simple. There is a line from the receiver to the motor, then from the motor to the lnb. The receiver is able to drive the motor and the led is green. I don't see a need for a switch because it's just the one receiver. For some reason I dont get a signal when hooked up to the motor but when it's bypassed the signall is 100%. The fact that I can drive the motor though makes me wonder if there is an issue between the motor and lnb? I am using the dish/lnb that came with my B*V sub, and was told by the retailer that it would work fine with the motor.

boycee/rook - Run a second line from the LNB to the BEV receiver and the 1st line from the LNB to the motor and onto the FTA receiver. The FTA receiver will move the motor to 91 so you can view your subscription on the BEV receiver.

Thanks for the help, but that's not my problem. I can get the sub working without issue. My problem is only with getting the cnx to get a signal. I know for certain I am on 91 at 100%. I unhook the sub, hook up the cnx to the motor to the lnb and should still get a solid signal with the cnx but for some reason I get 0% even though the dish has not moved. From here I can drive the motor and tell it to go to various reference points and it responds but I never get a signal until I bypass the motor.

Not really certain about the CNX , but what do you have your settings set too ?

LNB
TP
USALS...etc..

BPG~

Edit: I would also double check the cable from the motor to the lnb ( check this first )

Hiya rook,,,,,

Here is a thread I wrote few years back concerning set up with motorized system on a Nano,,,,,,

Let me know if it helps,,,,,,,,,,,

Well was setting up my new Nano last evening on my motorized setup, and found out I was in the same boat as you,,,

Had my VS Ultra previously connected,,with Invacom LNB,,,,,,

After a couple of hours trying to set up my Nano,,,I just could not understand !!!! so I decided I should come and read some threads and am glad I did,,,,same problem as you,,,,,I could scan the sats no problems but when it came time to store the sat position,,,It just as it did not,,,,,,,

So, I set up everything omitting the Channel search and Disecq swith page,,,and did everything on the Motor set up page,,,,and of course setting up the LNB as (Multi port LNB) IF NOT,,,,,it will not work,,,,

Also the signal will show on the disecq page and not the motor set up page,,,so be careful,,,if looking for a signal

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread,,,and if someone else is in the same shoes as us,,,I am sure we will see them here asking questions,,,

The box now is working great,,,,am impressed by this little machine,,,very good quality image !!!

Cheers ya'all

Probably would have found the answer quicker if you had initially listed your setting. Good to here your up.

Glad you got it working,,,,I know the Multi Port is a must using the Invacom QPH-031,,,,

Don't know why,,,,,but it is the only issue I found also with the signal % it gives us,,,,,I know it says 95 % - 95 % but in reality it is probably more like a68 - 70 %,,,,,one thing with all CNX receivers I found

Other than that,,,,,All in all a great little receiver and picture quality is really great,,,

Enjoy yr tv now,,,,

Cheers,,,
