Demonoid, anybody know how the ratios work?

How do I build my Ratios on that site? post a new torrent? I don't get it.

I have Bittorent online a lot and my ratio never goes up.

Each file you download you seed that file so that others can download
the file too.If you download the file and just delete it your "ratio" wont go up.
The more you seed the higher the "ratio" and the faster your downloads will come.

I will tell you one thing about Demonoid's ratio....It doesn't work well. This has been an ongoing issues for some major up-loaders there. Demonoid does not monitor ratio at this time like a lot of other site. That does pose an issues for good quality speeds when people hit and run. Meaning leachers, they download the file then delete it and not allow for at least 24hr seeding.

agreed, it doesnt work they way it was intented to.The download times really depends
on how many seeders there are seeding the file my ratio is fairly high but if no ones seeding
my ratio doesnt help much...

ratio means squat at demonoid
just snatch and don't worry about seeding

No, do not just snatch and don't worrying about seeding. Seeding is how others get the files as well. All you really need to do is seed for 24 hours and call it good. or as I do seed what I download 2 gig file I seed 2 gigs.

If all we did was snatch and not seed we wouldn't have anything........:rolleyes:
