Not sure if this is the right place for this but can't find a forum for repairs. I have a used canon rebel t1i ,with the small lens ef-s 18-55 is the message appears (camera cant commucate with lens) no problem with the telephoto lens,any ideas,or just take to a camers shop?

Ok found the 18-55 lens was bad,cost more to repair than a new lens. nuff said!

Yah I was just going to say that the chip inside the lens may be bad, but you found out about the $$$$ to repair them, too bad they cost so much to fix.
