The Toronto Maple Leafs received some bad news Sunday as they learned that they would be without forward Mikhail Grabovski for up to six weeks with a fractured wrist.
The injury means that the 25-year old will be unable to play for Belarus at the upcoming Olympic Winter games in Vancouver.
Grabovski suffered the injury when he was drilled by Flames forward Nigel Dawes during the first period of the Leafs loss to Calgary on Saturday night.
In 42 games this season, Grabovski has seven goals and 18 assists.
The news got worse for Toronto as the also learned that forward Wayne Primeau would miss the next two to four weeks with a knee injury he suffered during the third period of the Leafs/Flames tilt. Primeau has two goals and three assists in 35 games this season.
The team will need to recall a pair of players prior to Tuesday night's game against the Florida Panthers at the Air Canada Centre.
