hi all, I just got my sg2100 motor and installed it as per the setup instructions, I was attempting to get the dish lined up with my true south sat (61w) when i realized my LNB(spitfire universal) seemed to stop working(it was working fine prior to the motor installation). as my receiver could not get a signal on anything. I had an old direct tv lnb so i swapped that on and the receiver got a signal (so I assume the universal I had on blew a fuse or something if thats possible).

Anyone had any issues regarding LNBs not working with the motor?

any input would be greatly appreciated.

They don't have fuses in the LNB.

Did you check your LNB type in the sat settings?

Your not using any switches are you?

the settings never changed in the receiver, and i have a disec switch splitting the signal.

Did you run the coax from the receiver to the motor first then from the motor to the switch?

It has to go receiver, motor, switch then LNB, and make sure your switch settings are set for the correct input you have the LNB on. (Diesqc 1, 2, 3 or 4)

And what do you mean you have the signal split?

I have it setup as receiver, switch, motor, lnb so that may be the issue. I mean that i have 2 tvs hooked up on the signal through the disec. so tomorrow i will try and re-run the main wire and figure out the disec part later on

1 question Terryl. your saying i have to go receiver/motor/switch/lnb

so just want to confirm the way i am running the cable, main receiver cable goes to receiver port on motor, the lnb port on the motor then goes to the disec? then from the disec to the lnb?

Thats correct.

And why are you using a switch?

the disec? should not have used the word switch lol my bad, I am using the disec to send the signal to 2 tvs

How is your motor working. can you post step by step info on your setup and how you found your arc.
