Earl Scruggs died yesterday at 88 in Nashville of natural causes. They say he from Shelby NC, which is my home town. He is from Flint Hill which is outside Shelby about 15 miles, either way he changed banjo playing and invented the 3 finger picking style which is used today. Rest in peace Earl
